My Nucleus
I have 103 protons and 159 neutrons. My atomic mass is 262.0 amu. My naturally occuring isotope has a mass of 262 amu. There are also radiosotopes of lawrencium.

My Electrons
I have 103 electrons, which is the same as the number of protons in my nucleus, and my atomic number.
I have 3 valence electrons. And my electron configuration is 5f14.7s2.7p1.
I also have 7 energy levels.

My Properties
My atomic number is 103, the same number of protons in my nucleus. My atomic mass is 262.
I am a metal, and a solid at room temperature. My melting point is 1627 degrees C, or 2961 degrees F. No one knows what my boiling point, room temperature, or density is.
My color and appearance is also unknown, but a possibilty is silvery white, or grey(since I am a metal).
I am also a radioactive element.
My Home
(Body, Planet, Universe)
I am a man-made "rare earth metal" and I am not found anywhere in the environment.
I am Lawrencium!

My Compounds
(My Friends!)
I currently have no compounds, though my most common oxidation number is 3.

My Story
I was discovered in 1961 by four men: Ghiorso, Sikkeland, Larch, and Latimer. They bombarded three micrograms of Califorium with Boron ions and ...ta-da!...I was created. This means that I was man-made. I was named after Ernest Lawrence, inventor of the cyclotron.

My Jobs
I am rarely made, so I currently do not have any jobs or uses.
There are also no known dangers from lawrenicum because so few of this element is found in the environment.
